Top 10 NFTs in the World

Nonfungible tokens, often known as NFTs, are becoming a treasure trove with values in the millions of dollars. Instances in which a non-fungible token garners more than $69 million or a tweet garners $2.9 million are not fables, but extraordinary realities.

In 2021, a non-fungible token (NFT) created by the digital artist Beeple, or Mike Winkelmann, sold for a staggering $69 million, making NFTs a media sensation and opening the floodgates for a slew of further NFT transactions, many of which were in the millions of dollars. Numerous celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Eminem, and Grimes, have climbed on the NFT bandwagon as a result of the extensive discussion around these instruments. NFTs have garnered the interest of investors, artists, and collectors alike in 2022.

Here are the Top 10 most expensive NFTs sold to date:

1. The Merge - $91.8 million - The Merge, which was created by the artist Pak, is the most expensive NFT ever sold. Although the artist's true name has never been disclosed, they have a significant presence in the digital art community. The Merge is not a static work of art, but rather a collection of "masses" that may be purchased by anybody interested. The NFT initially consisted of three huge white dots on a black backdrop. As the number of purchasers climbed, the size of the dots grew.

2. Everydays: The First 5000 Days - $69.3 million - Mike Winklemann, popularly known as "Beeple," is the creator of the album "Everydays - The First 5000 Days." This JPG file is a collage of photographs generated by the artist one each day since 2007 and is frequently credited with initiating the craze for NFTs. The "Everydays" NFT was acquired on March 11, 2021, at Christie's auction by a Singapore-based cryptocurrency investor who paid in Ether (ETH-USD). The purchaser simply received a digital item; nothing physical was included. The transaction made Winklemann, a graphic designer from Florida, one of the best-selling living artists in the world and propelled him to international prominence.

3. Clock - $52.7 million - The artwork 'Clock' was co-created by Pak and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and counts the number of days Assange has spent in prison. The NFT was finally acquired by AssangeDAO, a group of over 10,000 individuals who pooled their finances to purchase the NFT and support Assange.

4. Human One - $28.9 million - The artwork "Human One" exists in two forms: the digital and the physical. A kinetic video sculpture, it features a mahogany wood frame, two media servers, and four video screens mounted on polished aluminum. There was a digital token in the actual show. This item sold at auction in November 2021 for $28.9 million.

5. CryptoPunk #5822 - $23.7 million - The CryptoPunks are among the most sought-after tokens in the market, consistently fetching prices well above their initial issuance costs. The project, initiated by Larva Labs in 2017, drew inspiration from the London punk scene, the cyberpunk movement, and electronic music artists like Daft Punk. The most expensive CryptoPunk, at $5,822, is also the seventh most valued NFT overall. In February of this year, the token sold for almost $23.7 million, and it's easy to understand why: CryptoPunk #5822 is a part of the rarest alien edition, of which only 9 exist out of a total of 10,000 punks. Furthermore, this token is just one of 333 that share the same bandana design. Chain's CEO, Deepak Thapliyal, has purchased the NFT. Due to its scarcity, it is likely to always command a high price relative to other NFTs.

6. Alien Cryptopunk #7523 - $11.75 million - Because Alien CryptoPunks are so scarce, Alien CryptoPunk #7523 ranks as the sixth most costly NFT ever traded for. Aside from being one of just nine Alien punks produced by Larva Labs, he also sports several rare extras, such as a medical mask (2,459 punks have one), a knitted cap (419 punks have one), and earrings (2,459). (175 punks have this). CryptoPunk #7523, also known as the "Covid Alien," was purchased by Shalom Mackenzie, the largest stakeholder of DraftKings.

7. TPunk #3442 - $10.5 million - Now that we know what makes Alien punks so desirable to investors, let's look at another type of punk that's getting a lot of buzzes: TPunks. They are the equivalent of the CryptoPunks in the Tron universe. Although TPunk NFTs don't usually fetch high prices, the Joker-like TPunk #3442 sold for $10.5 million at a sale last year, purchased by Tron co-founder and cryptocurrency tycoon Justin Sun. Although he could have kept the token for himself, he instead donated it to the APENFT exchange.

8. CryptoPunk #4156 - $10.26 million - One more Punk has contributed to this becoming one of the best-ever NFT sales. Here we have CryptoPunk #4156, which went for $10.26M in 2017. The anonymous collector known only as Punk4156 decided to sell after becoming dissatisfied with Larva Labs' approach to communication, licensing guidance, and community interaction surrounding the NFT project. Yet 4156 persists in the NFT environment and has become a recognized industry leader and the driving force behind the open-source IP-building NFT project Nouns.

9. CryptoPunk #5577 - $7.7 million - Even after the 2021 NFT frenzy, 2022 saw no signs of seeing a slowdown in the interest for CryptoPunks with CryptoPunk #4156 selling for $7.7 million back in February. This token was purchased by Robert Leshner, founder of the Compound Defi protocol who announced his move with a “Yeehaw” tweet as CryptoPunk #5577 featuring a cowboy hat.

10. CryptoPunk #3100 - $7.6 million - And last but not least, CryptoPunk #3100. By now we already know that CryptoPunks have a special place in the hearts of NFT collectors and art lovers worldwide and the tenth most expensive NFT ever sold is none other than a CryptoPunk that also happens to be one of the rare alien avatars, wearing a white and blue headband. Only 450 other punks have headbands, which makes CryptoPunk #3100 even rarer.

Growth in the NFT sector as a whole has been impressively swift since 2020. In this piece, we analyzed some of the highest-priced NFTs currently available. The list was topped by CryptoPunks, which is most likely the most talked-about project ever. Pak and Beeple, two of our featured musicians, also appear many times on our top 10 list, attesting to their widespread renown.

While these NFTs are probably out of reach for the average NFT investor, several promising new projects could provide substantial returns in the not-too-distant future. At this time, Lucky Block Platinum High Rollers Club is our most highly anticipated NFT venture. Because of its innovative use of NFTs to rethink the traditional lottery system, the Lucky Block coin has experienced rapid price appreciation, demonstrating the project's widespread interest. You should go to the Lucky Block website right now if you want to invest in Lucky Block NFTs.
